- 1 cup cottage cheese 4% small curd
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan and romano blend
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- 7 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F.
- In a food processor, blend the cottage cheese until smooth. Allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
- Mix together the grated Parmesan and Romano cheese, garlic powder, kosher salt, oregano, and basil for the seasoning.
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the blended cottage cheese and mix to form a dough.
- Take the dough to a floured surface, shape it into a circle, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- For the breadstick butter, mix the melted butter, vegetable oil, and garlic powder. Spread 4 tablespoons of this mixture in a metal 9×13 pan.
- Flatten and roll the dough into a rectangle, place it in the pan, and brush with 1 tablespoon of the breadstick butter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-14 minutes until golden brown. Remove and brush with remaining breadstick butter, sprinkle with seasoning, and cut into sticks.
Notes
For extra flavor, mix in some herbs or spices of your choice.
Serve warm with marinara sauce for a delicious dip.
