Description

This Classic Wedge Salad features crispy iceberg lettuce, topped with savory bacon, creamy blue cheese dressing, and fresh tomatoes. It’s a delightful dish that’s perfect for a light lunch or as a side, bringing together irresistible flavors with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce
  • 8 tablespoons blue cheese dressing
  • 3 large peeled and diced hard boiled eggs
  • 8 strips cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 large diced tomato
  • 1-2 tablespoons chopped chives
  • blue cheese crumbles for garnish, optional
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the iceberg lettuce through the core into four wedges.
  2. Remove any outer leaves that are damaged.
  3. Rinse the lettuce wedges under cool water briefly and dry with paper towels.
  4. For extra crispness, refrigerate the wedges before serving.
  5. On a serving platter or individual plates, layer: a wedge of iceberg, blue cheese dressing, diced hard boiled eggs, crumbled bacon, diced tomato, and chopped chives. Optionally, add blue cheese crumbles.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve immediately with a fork and knife.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit bacon and add more vegetables.
Customize toppings to your liking with avocado or olives.
