- 3 pounds chicken wings flats and drumettes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/4 cups BBQ sauce divided
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss until the wings are well-coated.
- Add 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce to the wings and mix until fully coated. Arrange them on a foil-lined baking sheet spritzed with oil and refrigerate uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
- Bake the wings for 30 minutes. Then, flip them over and brush 1/3 cup of BBQ sauce on top. Bake for another 30 minutes until cooked through.
- Brush the remaining BBQ sauce over the wings and switch the oven to broil. Broil for 2-3 minutes, closely watching until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let the wings rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the wings for a few hours or overnight.
Feel free to adjust the amount of BBQ sauce based on your taste preference.
Serve with a side of celery sticks and ranch dressing for dipping.
