Description

Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburgers combine savory ground beef, crispy bacon, and zesty jalapeños topped with a luscious burger sauce. Ideal for a quick dinner, this recipe offers irresistible flavor that’s easy to prepare and perfect for grilling season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup mayo
  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef 80/20
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 jar pickled jalapeños
  • 8 slices thick cut bacon, cooked
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the mayo, BBQ sauce, and mustard until smooth. Cover and refrigerate the sauce until ready to use.
  2. Divide the ground beef into four 6-ounce portions and shape each into a 4-inch diameter patty, about ¾-inch thick. Make a thumb indentation in the center of each patty to avoid puffing. Season one side with half the salt and pepper.
  3. Place the patties, seasoned-side down, on a hot grill or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Grill for about 4 minutes until lightly charred. Season the tops with the remaining salt and pepper, flip, and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes. Add cheddar cheese on top during the last minute to melt, then let the patties rest for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Spread burger sauce on the bottom halves of the buns. Place a patty on each, add crispy bacon, pickled jalapeños, and any extra toppings. Add more sauce to the top bun and close the burger. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize toppings with avocado or different cheeses.
For extra heat, add more pickled jalapeños or fresh slices.
Make your BBQ sauce from scratch for a personalized flavor.
