Description

Yogurt Feta Bread offers an amazing combination of flavors in a simple preparation. With yogurt and feta cheese, this bread is a perfect choice for a quick dinner, lunch, or a healthy snack. It’s homemade goodness at its best!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 300 g plain yogurt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Incorporate the wet ingredients: yogurt, eggs, olive oil, and melted butter into the dry mixture until everything is well mixed.
  4. Gently fold in the crumbled feta cheese to the dough.
  5. Allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes.
  6. Transfer the dough to a baking pan and use a fork to poke holes in the surface.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until the top becomes golden brown.
  8. Let the bread cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs such as oregano or thyme to the mix.
Make sure the feta is well crumbled for even distribution in the dough.
This bread pairs wonderfully with soups or salads.
