This Waffle Grilled Cheese offers irresistible flavor with simple prep. Made with buttery toast and gooey cheese, it’s perfect for quick dinners or comforting meals.

- 4 slices bread (we used texas toast, any sandwich bread works)
- 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
- 2 slices american cheese (or cheddar slices)
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese (shredded or sliced thin)
Instructions
- Preheat the waffle iron.
- Spread butter onto one side of each slice of bread.
- On the plain side of the bread, place a slice of American cheese and some mozzarella. Add the top slice, butter side out.
- Put the sandwich in the waffle iron and press down carefully.
- Cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted.
- Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
- Serve your waffle grilled cheese immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, try using garlic butter on the bread.
Feel free to mix different cheeses for a complex taste.
Pair with a side of tomato soup for a classic combination.
