Description

This Waffle Grilled Cheese offers irresistible flavor with simple prep. Made with buttery toast and gooey cheese, it’s perfect for quick dinners or comforting meals.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread (we used texas toast, any sandwich bread works)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 2 slices american cheese (or cheddar slices)
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese (shredded or sliced thin)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron.
  2. Spread butter onto one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the plain side of the bread, place a slice of American cheese and some mozzarella. Add the top slice, butter side out.
  4. Put the sandwich in the waffle iron and press down carefully.
  5. Cook until the bread is toasted and the cheese has melted.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients.
  7. Serve your waffle grilled cheese immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, try using garlic butter on the bread.
Feel free to mix different cheeses for a complex taste.
Pair with a side of tomato soup for a classic combination.
