Description

This Taco Meat is packed with irresistible flavor and takes just a few minutes to prepare. Made with lean ground beef, zesty spices, and tomato paste, it’s ideal for quick dinners, taco nights, or hearty burrito bowls. Enjoy a homemade touch in your favorite dishes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • cooking spray
  • 2 pounds lean or extra lean ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • A few tablespoons of water or use beef stock

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Spray the skillet with cooking spray.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and sprinkle the taco seasoning, smoked paprika, and garlic powder over the top.
  4. Stir the spices into the meat while it browns, breaking up any large pieces of ground beef.
  5. When the beef is nearly cooked through, add the tomato paste and a few tablespoons of water. Mix well to combine.
  6. Continue cooking over medium-high heat until the beef is fully cooked and has a saucy consistency.
  7. Use the Taco Meat in your favorite recipes, like tacos, burritos, enchiladas, or burrito bowls. You can also divide it into portions and freeze in airtight containers for later use.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add more taco seasoning or a dash of cayenne pepper.
Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Taco Meat can be easily doubled for larger gatherings.
