Description

These Sheet Pan Walking Taco Nachos are the ultimate comfort food, featuring seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and fresh toppings. Perfect for easy dinners or game day snacking!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 9 oz bag fritos scoops
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup chopped tomatoes
  • ⅓ cup chopped cilantro
  • jalapeños, for serving
  • sour cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef and break it apart as it cooks. No oil is needed unless the beef is particularly lean.
  3. Cook the beef until it starts to brown. Sprinkle in cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and continue cooking until fully browned.
  4. On a sheet pan, arrange the fritos with the scoop side facing up. Add a light layer of cheese on top.
  5. Spoon the seasoned ground beef over the fritos, ensuring it fills each scoop.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top of the beef.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, green onions, cilantro, jalapeños, and any additional toppings desired. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding black beans or corn to the nachos.
