Description
Enjoy a delicious Matcha Latte that brings together the rich flavor of ceremonial-grade matcha and creamy oat milk. Simple to prepare and perfect for any time, this latte can be served iced or hot, making it a versatile choice for your morning or afternoon cravings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1½ teaspoon ceremonial-grade matcha (about 3g)
- ¼ cup hot water (158-176°F or 70-80°C)
- ½ cup oat milk (or your favorite milk)
- 1-2 teaspoons maple syrup (optional)
- ice cubes
Instructions
- Soak your bamboo whisk in hot water, halfway up the bristles, before using.
- In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder. Add hot water and whisk vigorously with the bamboo whisk until smooth and foamy. Create froth using an 'M' or 'W' motion, brushing the surface gently to break large bubbles.
- For iced matcha latte, fill a glass with ice cubes and add the milk. Pour the whisked matcha over the milk. Stir in the sweetener if desired and mix well before enjoying.
- For a hot matcha latte, steam or warm the milk before adding to a mug.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness to your preference by modifying the amount of maple syrup or using granulated sugar.
Ensure the water temperature is appropriate for best matcha flavor extraction, ideally between 158-176°F.
