Description

Italian Grinder Sandwiches pack unbeatable flavor into a quick meal. Made with fresh ingredients like provolone cheese, ham, and tangy banana peppers, they’re an easy choice for lunch or a hearty snack.


Ingredients

  • 4 light sandwich rolls/buns
  • 4 teaspoons light italian dressing
  • 4 teaspoons light mayonnaise
  • 4 slices extra thin provolone cheese
  • 4 oz thin sliced deli ham
  • 4 slices hard salami
  • 4 slices sandwich-style deli pepperoni
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 4-8 slices roma/plum tomato
  • 4 tablespoons jarred banana pepper slices/rings


Instructions

  1. Toast both sides of the sandwich rolls to your desired doneness (this step is optional but recommended).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the Italian dressing and mayonnaise until they are well combined.
  3. Spread 2 teaspoons of the mayo mixture on the bottom half of each toasted roll.
  4. Layer a slice of provolone cheese, salami, pepperoni, an ounce of ham, a lettuce leaf (torn to fit), 1-2 slices of tomato, and a tablespoon of banana peppers on top of the mayo spread.
  5. Complete the sandwich by placing the top bun on and enjoy.

Notes

Feel free to use any combination of your favorite Italian cold cuts.
Add extra veggies like bell peppers or onions for added crunch.
Substitute with full-fat ingredients for a richer flavor.
