Description

This homemade granola features a delightful mix of oats, almonds, and honey, baked to perfection. It’s a simple yet satisfying option for a healthy breakfast or snack, packed with flavor and nutrients—perfect for anyone seeking a wholesome and easy recipe!


Ingredients

  • 3 cups old fashioned oats or steel cut oats
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup golden raisins


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250° F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats and almonds, mixing them well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, honey, and cinnamon; mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the oats and almonds, stirring to coat them evenly.
  5. Spread the mixture on a large rimmed baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes at 250° F.
  6. Stir in the shredded coconut and continue baking for an additional 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove the granola from the oven and stir in the dried cranberries and golden raisins.
  8. Allow it to cool at room temperature, then store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Feel free to customize the nuts and dried fruits according to your preference.
For extra flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the oats and almonds before mixing.
