- avocado oil, or any neutral-flavored oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, and sea salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract together until well blended.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; the batter should be slightly thinner than pancake batter.
- Transfer the batter into a squeeze bottle or piping bag, cutting a large opening at the bottom.
- Set up a wire rack with paper towels underneath. Heat 1 inch of avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 375°F.
- Squeeze the batter into the hot oil, forming 5-6 strips without overcrowding. Fry for about 3 minutes, flipping halfway until they are golden brown and crisp. Transfer to the wire rack and repeat with any remaining batter.
- Finally, dust the fried pieces with powdered sugar before serving.
