Description

Our Chocolate Mousse is an easy, 3-ingredient dessert that features the rich flavor of dark chocolate combined with fluffy cream. Perfect for any occasion, it’s a delightful choice for anyone craving a quick yet indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • 5oz (150 grams) 70% cocoa dark chocolate bar
  • 1 cup (240 ml) whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoon icing sugar
  • ⅓ cup (80 ml) whipping cream (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • chocolate swirls, mini eggs, sprinkles…


Instructions

  1. Ensure all utensils are clean and dry.
  2. Chop the chocolate bar and place it in a heatproof bowl.
  3. Heat cream and icing sugar in a saucepan until nearly simmering, avoiding boiling.
  4. Remove from heat and pour the cream over the chopped chocolate while stirring until smooth and glossy.
  5. Cool the mixture in the fridge for about 15 minutes or in the freezer for 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  6. Using an electric beater, whip the chocolate mixture until it becomes airy but remains soft, avoiding over-whipping.
  7. Divide the mousse into glasses and enjoy immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 days.

Notes

For a sweeter mousse, you can adjust the icing sugar to taste.
Make sure not to let any water get into the chocolate mixture during preparation.
Decorate with chocolate swirls or your choice of toppings for an extra touch.
