Description

This Chai Tiramisu combines traditional Italian flavors with aromatic chai spices, creating a unique and delicious dessert. Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 tbsp chai masala
  • 2 inch knob fresh ginger, smashed
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 5 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese, cold from the refrigerator
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, chilled
  • 28 hard ladyfingers
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 3/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg


Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil, then add chai masala and smashed ginger. Simmer for 3 minutes and let it steep off the heat for another 3 minutes.
  2. Stir in 1/4 cup of sugar into the chai mixture until dissolved. Strain the liquid and cool to room temperature.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the tiramisu chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
You can substitute the chai masala with your favorite spice blend if preferred.
