Description

These Cadbury Eggs are a sweet indulgence with their rich chocolate flavor and creamy filling. Fast to make and fun to enjoy, they are a delightful treat for anyone seeking a homemade dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 and ½ cups chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 11.25oz sweetened condensed oat milk or sweetened condensed coconut milk
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric (or yellow food coloring)

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in a bowl or double boiler, stirring every 30 seconds if using a microwave until completely melted.
  2. Using a 2-3 inch silicone egg mold, cover the bottom with a layer of melted chocolate. Ensure that the entire inside is coated and place it in the refrigerator to chill. Reserve some melted chocolate for later use.
  3. In another bowl, mix the sweetened condensed oat/coconut milk, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined and thickened. Set aside half a cup of this mixture in a separate bowl, adding turmeric for color and mixing until combined.
  4. Once the chocolate shell has chilled, fill it with the white cream mixture. Add a teaspoon of the yellow cream in the center and return it to the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set.
  5. Reheat the reserved melted chocolate gently in the microwave, then pour a thin layer over the cream in the mold to cover it.
  6. Chill the complete eggs in the refrigerator for an additional hour, then gently remove them from the molds. Decorate with additional melted chocolate if desired.

Notes

Make sure not to skip the chilling time as it helps the eggs hold their shape.
Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite flavors or colors.
Use high-quality chocolate for the best taste.
