Description

Baked Potato Slices are a delightful dish featuring tender potatoes, melted cheddar cheese, and crispy bacon. This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for family dinners or as a savory snack whenever you’re craving comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium russet or yukon gold potatoes, washed and scrubbed (or use 4 smaller potatoes)
  • 1 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices pork bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1-2 green onions, chopped
  • optional: italian seasoning, oregano, or red pepper flakes for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, then add a sheet of parchment paper on top.
  3. Arrange bacon slices on the parchment paper and bake for 10-15 minutes, flipping once if necessary, until they are golden and crispy.
  4. Transfer the bacon to a plate lined with paper towels and allow it to cool. Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.

Notes

Using smaller potatoes may affect cooking time; keep an eye on them while baking.
Feel free to add your favorite herbs or spices to the dish for a personal touch.
